Health Benefits of Water.
Water is your body’s principal chemical component. Every
system in your body depends on water. It is important to drink water because
water is the “primary mode of transportation for all nutrients” in the body and
is essential for proper circulation (“Ten Reasons to Drink Water”). Water is
absolutely essential to the human body’s survival. A person can live for a
month without food, but only about a week without water. Water leads to overall
greater health by flushing out wastes and bacteria that can cause disease, and
also can decrease the risk of certain types of cancers, including colon cancer,
bladder cancer, and breast cancer. For those who want to lose weight or wants a
healthy body, water is very important in their lives. Water makes up about 60%
of your body weight. Water helps to maintain healthy body weight by increasing
metabolism and regulating appetite. “It suppresses the appetite naturally and
helps the body metabolized stored fat”. (“How 8 Glasses a Day Keeps Fat Away”).
Well, one of the liver’s primary functions is to metabolized stored fat into
usable energy for the body, but it is impossible without water. For those with
constipation water can be helpful. “Water aids in the digestion process and
prevents constipation”. (“Ten Reasons to Drink Water”). Finally, when the body
gets the water it needs to function optimally, its fluids are perfectly balanced.
